/init learns your project
It reads your code once and notes your test commands, style and conventions in Kaivo.md.
Kaivo CLI 1.15.0 · Windows, macOS, Linux
A bug you can't solve? Open your terminal, type “fix my problem, please”, and Kaivo reads your project, finds the cause and proposes the fix.
Install in one command
PS> irm https://kaivoia.site/install.ps1 | iexRun it in PowerShell. Then open a new terminal in your project and type kaivo.
Illustrative example: the project and files are made up.
In your terminal, on your real projects. One account for the CLI and the website.
One sentence is enough: “the cart total shows NaN”.
It opens the files, reads the Git history and runs the tests to see the error.
In one sentence, before touching anything. You decide whether to go on.
The change is made, the tests pass again. You see exactly what moved.
› /fix the cart total shows NaN
● view src/cart.js
● bash npm test ✗ 1
Cause: prices are written “49,90”, and Number() returns NaN.
Kaivo asks before changing anything [Yes] [No]
- const total = items.reduce((s, i) => s + Number(i.price), 0);
+ const total = items.reduce((s, i) => s + Number(String(i.price).replace(",", ".")), 0);
✓ npm test: 14 tests pass
It reads your code once and notes your test commands, style and conventions in Kaivo.md.
On a big task, ask for a plan: it reads the whole project but changes nothing.
Give a goal like “add a dark mode”. It splits it into short steps and asks before each change.
Build, lint and tests run, then it tells you what passes, what fails and why.
Likely bugs, things forgotten, hard-coded secrets, unchecked input. Most serious first.
On a project you don't know, it explores and explains without being able to touch it.
It reads your changes, proposes a message and only commits if you agree.
