What is sent, and where
To answer, Kaivo sends an AI model your request, along with the file extracts it read to answer you. These exchanges go through Kaivo's servers, which pass them to the model provider.
That means one common-sense rule: don't ask Kaivo to read files containing secrets (passwords, private keys, tokens) if you don't want them to leave. Put them in a .env file and don't show them, or use a key you can revoke.
Your CLI sessions are saved in your project's .kaivo folder, on your computer. You can delete them by removing that folder.
