Using Kaivo CLI

How to phrase a request

Talk to Kaivo like a skilled colleague who's discovering your project. The more precise you are, the better the result. “It doesn't work” gives little to go on; “The Add to cart button doesn't react on mobile, see src/components/AddToCart.tsx” gives a real starting point.

Give the context that matters: the exact error message, what you expected, what happens instead. If you know the file involved, mention it: Kaivo will save time.

One task at a time works better. If you have three things to do, ask for them one after the other: you'll be able to review each change calmly.

You can ask Kaivo to explain before acting: “First explain what you're going to do.” It's useful on a big project or when you want to understand.

And if the result doesn't suit you, just say so: “No, keep the old layout and only change the colour.” Kaivo fixes it from your remark.
