Using Kaivo CLI
Sessions and project memory
Each conversation with Kaivo is a session, saved in your project's .kaivo folder. Type /sessions to reopen one, or /new to start from scratch.
When a conversation gets long, the model eventually runs out of room. /compact summarises the current session and continues in a new session that starts from that summary. By default, Kaivo also does it on its own when it nears the limit.
To let Kaivo remember your project from one session to the next, create Kaivo.md with /init. You can edit it by hand: add the command that runs your tests, your naming convention, the folders never to touch. Kaivo reads it at every launch.
